MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP -- (WLUC-TV)The lights at the US-41 intersection of Target and Wal-Mart in Marquette Township are back up and working.

On Sunday, M-DOT crews replaced the traffic signals after a semi-tractor trailer hit one of the hanging traffic lights Saturday morning, pulling all the suspending lights and cables to the ground.

According to Michigan State Police, no accidents occurred while the lights were out.

M-DOT says the new traffic signals are LEDs and will help reduce energy costs.
