Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel is an upcoming 2009 American live-action/CGI and sequel to the 2007 film starring Jason Lee, David Cross, Cameron Richardson, Zachary Levi and the voices of Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Jesse McCartney, Anna Faris, Christina Applegate and Amy Poehler. The film features Alvin and the Chipmunks and their female counterparts, The Chipettes. It will be directed by Betty Thomas and distributed by 20th Century Fox, and produced by Regency Enterprises and Bagdasarian Productions. It was originally scheduled to be premiered on March 19, 2010, but it was moved up to a Christmas 2009 release instead. This film is rated PG for mild rude humor. The movie will also feature performances by the winners of the third season of America's Best Dance Crew, Quest Crew.[1] .
