Tabby: 22ish year old mare for adoption
Tabby is a rescue mare that JD Acres rescued. She's located in the Sacramento, CA area. I've been fostering her since September. She is very easy to have around, still chews her hay fine, loves grass and alfalfa and her pellets. Up to date on teeth floating, deworming (including Panacur Power Pack), sand clear, vaccinations, hoof trimming. Maybe about 14.3 hh. Very gentle and sweet on the ground. Forward under saddle - not dangerous but she does love to go! Great on the trail, super fast walk and has not spooked once since I've known her. Seems totally sound although of course at her age she must have some arthritis. Very comfortable canter! Loves her blanket! Easy to catch, lead, trailer, bathe, groom. Available for adoption to an approved home for $650. There are a lot of free and cheap horses out there right now but Tabby is a known quantity since we've been using her here for lessons at Allison Acres, and your adoption fee will allow JD Acres Rescue to continue to do good work for horses in need. Please contact allisonacres@yahoo.com if you are interested in Tabby!
